or try recover programs (RecoverMyFiles like that).

I deleted it from the command line, so no recycle bin.

I'm using Linux; I would use one of the various Linux file-recovery programs out there, except that none of them are designed to work with NTFS drives (most of my distributed-computing files are on my Windows hard drive). And, though I could always try booting into Windows and trying a Windows file-recovery program, unfortunately my Windows hasn't been working at all lately (need to install some drivers for an IDE card I added, or else Windows won't even boot).

Thus, I guess the only option is to do the range over again.

I will reserve that range. It should be done in a couple of days. I have a couple of idle machines that will be busy starting in 3 days but need work temporarily now.

Still waiting to hear from jasong...

Okay, great.

As for not hearing back from jasong--according to his profile page, he hasn't logged on to mersenneforum since the day before you sent him the PM about this doublecheck sieving. You know, for such a chatty guy, he sure doesn't get on the forum that terribly much.

Sorry about that. My brain's been acting a little off lately, I may have been slightly manic for the last couple of days.

Anyway, I'm unreserving 550-600. Also, because I was sieving on 4 cores, some of my sieving was above the decided optimal level. As soon as I determine gd_barnes email(I'm pretty sure it's in one of the Stickies in NPLB Forum) I'm going to email him those factors and report to him the ranges, so that when it does come time to sieve stuff above 600G, he'll know what's already been done.

OK, thanks for the update Jasong and for sending those higher factors along. We now have you as reserved for P=310G-550G.

ETA is ~4 days.
