Nice box! Do you know what the power consumption is?
I'm setting up a proxy server now.
If I get it working well, I may open it up to the outside to help out more.

If you do open it up to the outside, anyone who connects through it will have their crunching be done under your username.

Server port 100 is always down due to this client: 19c2c462.

Well that's no good! How do I run a public proxy, as that's what I'm trying to do, to help out.

How do we find out who that is?

How about me to? Or would you not need any more once Gary gets his server online?

Short answer: nope, not a clue for the overall system.

Long answer: The chips (E5440, sSpec SLANS) are 45nm; the rated power is 85W (per the Intel chart). I've also got 4 PATA HDDs, 4 SATA HDDs, 2 optical drives, extra dual-GigE board, PCI-e video (EVGA 8800GT Superclocked) and a 620W Corsair HX PSU. I also know that the FB-DIMMs draw more power than standard DDR2.

Executive summary: I'm guessing it's not real low.

We need all the servers we can get! Anon, go ahead and send him a tutorial. Mine's a little basic (and I still need some help) and IronBit's set up is probably different than mine.

impossible to run a public proxy ... but you can start multiple "personnal proxies" for heavy hitters ...

setting up a proxy is really easy
- download the standard archive of LLR (not the SR5 version)
- edit the "llrserve-config.txt" file
Code:
port = 7000 -- or whatever you want (must be different for each instances)
maxConnections = 60
jobMaxTime = 6 * 24 * 3600 -- 6 days (as the master server is at 7 days we must have shorter delay)
prunePeriod = 60*60 -- every 1 hour (not too much kn pairs so it don't use too much memory)

-- (uncomment the appropriate line: chose the display format, change with current numbers tested )
--displayFormat = "%s*2^%s-1"
--displayFormat = "%s*2^%s+1"

noUserCheck = 1 -- the first one to resend the results get's the credit (as acting as a personnal proxy, you don't care as all computers belong to the same people)
-----------------
-- PROXY settings
-----------------
proxy = 1
proxyMasterAddress = "CRUS.dynip.telepac.pt"
proxyMasterPort = 100
proxyName = "Free-DC_tnerual"    -- don't change this line please
proxyCacheSize = 20 -- or higher for heavy hitters
proxyTosendThreshold = 10 -- connect when you have 10 results (increase for heavy hitters)
- fire up the llrserver.exe

The rally is off, I'm tired of all this stupid server. 19c2c462 client is stalling the server...
