So, is the rally off? I know a lot of people are backing out because the server can't handle it, but does that mean the rally's over or not?

The rally is not over, we are only distributing better our resources to try not to hang the server. Beyond has more than 70 cores and he can't use manual LLR on them, too much work and I understand him, I have 9 and gives me a lot of work, 70 gives even more. So I prefer to have his 70 cores on LLRnet and take off a few from the ones who can do manual work. I still have two machines on LLRnet but can't reach them!

Thanks.
I already took off the server port 100 range 315k-320k. I suppose Gary is sliptting the ranges...

OK, good point Carlos. I'll change my 6 home machines to clear the queues shortly. It will take a couple of hours to clear them out. Then I'll go back to sieving. My 7 work machines will work on port 100 until Sunday when I can get in, clear them out, and change them back to manual reservation files.

Of course I would still encourage Beyond to keep all his cores running LLRnet since it would be a big hassle for him to do manual reservations on so many machines.

Sorry everyone. We're just having growing pains here. We'll have it all straightened out for the next rally.

Good news here...I've now updated the lower-range post in drive 2 to show all of or primes as of 5 mins. ago. There were a bunch. I'll update the high-range post for drive 1 here shortly.

Then I'm taking a break for a while.

EDIT: The rally is still going. I misunderstood Carlos's intent from earlier.

I'm getting hungry and I want to get off of here...been on 4 hours+. I'll split some ranges up in a few hours. In the mean time, there's some files in drive 1 available.

Gary,

Is there a automatic way to break the range 315k-320k into 0.2k pieces?

You know, I just thought of something. Is Beyond behind an LLRnet proxy? If not, then we might be able to decrease the # of connections by a lot if he set up one for himself.

I don't think so, though of course I can't answer for Gary.

Yes he is behind a proxy, he caches 1000 wu's and sends 50 at time.
