Fixed. with 1 correction to the above:
As per your pages the lower bound of n is 350000 for Drive #12C continuing on from the upper bound of n of Drive #12B. Drive #12B: k=2000-3000 n=250000-350000 Drive #12C: k=2000-3000 n=350000-425000 |

On another note, just to give you (and any one else who's watching the stats) a heads-up: for the new port 7000 mini-drive, as Ian mentioned yesterday in the individual-k drive thread, he initially started k=335 on his own but added it in with the larger public effort. To make things simple for stats purposes, we stuffed the results he'd accumulated thusfar (n=1.3M to about 1366.7K or so) into the front of port 7000's results.txt file for today. They were already in LLRnet format with Ian's username on them, and the timestamps line up fine, so this seemed easier than the mess of marking down a breakpoint between a separate "manual" range and the public effort. Hence, why all of a sudden the Port Report page shows port 7000 tests going back a few days even though the mini-drive is only one day old.

Yup. I noted the legend over-lap. Flagged it for a fix.

Several days ago, we reached n=1.3M on all k=300-600.
This is a significant milestone because of all of the n=1.29M primes on the top 5000 site. I'm now working to bring all k=600-1001 up to the same depth.

We have added PRPnet port 1468 to the mix for the project. It is a continuation of our 8k mini drive as we phase out LLRnet port 7000. The k's are 317/329/335/341/363/391/393/399 and the n-range is 1.575M-2M. Details are at http://mersenneforum.org/showpost.ph...47&postcount=1. Fire when ready!

That means 3M-6M is stopped at 400P and 6M-9M started on Boinc. Lennart |

I am going to be out of town from July 22nd thru Aug. 5th. The electric company has informed me that they will be switching out my electric meter within the next month. Unfortunately this means that there will be a power outage of 5-10 minutes. That means that the servers will be down from the time that they do the switch out to when I get back. I called them and they could not set up a specific appt. or tell me exactly when it was going to be done. I'm hoping that it will be after I get back but the chances do not look good at this point. I am going to leave instructions for a friend to restart the machine and servers but he is not literate in Linux and it could still be up to 3-4 days before he could get to it so there are no guarantees there.
My UPS shot craps 1-2 years ago after just 2 years of use and I haven't wanted to shell out money for a new one. It would cost ~$200 for a UPS that can give 15+ minutes of power to my machine while running 2 cores. My apologies in advance for any outage. Last fiddled with by gd_barnes on 2014-07-21 at 23:05 |

Gary, if your friend can at least get jeepford turned on, even if he's not able to start up the servers, I can get in remotely and start them. We have it set up to log in automatically on the console (unless it's been changed since then), so graphical VNC access should work immediately once the machine is turned on.
Edit: incidentally, are the instructions and script I sent you a long time ago for remote controlling all your computers still working? If so, you should be able to get full graphical access yourself; if not, let me know and I can update the script if needed. Last fiddled with by mdettweiler on 2014-07-21 at 23:53 |

If the machine is kicked off by a power outage and doesn't turn itself back on automatically, I cannot access it. But if he turns it on and logs in without doing the start VNC thing, I don't know if I can access it. I haven't tried that. But I could leave instructions on doing the start VNC thing also.
The last time I had a power blip, internet access also went down, which meant that you guys couldn't access it. I finally got the internet working about 2 hours after arriving home. Sometimes I think the internet problem happens when there is a quick power surge or blip; likely 10 seconds or less in length. Perhaps a 5-10 minute outage wouldn't affect the internet. I'll keep all of this in mind. One big annoying thing is that all of the rest of my machines will be out until I get back and I'm going to have a major sieving effort working on them. But as far as I'm concerned, that's OK. I just don't want the projects to be completely down for up to 2 weeks. Last fiddled with by gd_barnes on 2014-07-22 at 03:11 |
