Not a bad idea. It'd probably be best to keep ~2-3 days worth in case there's a little confusion like we had at one point here about what ranges were for whom.

I'll run it by everyone. Is everyone OK with us deleting the reservation posts after a period of time? If so, does waiting 2-3 days sound reasonable? Let us know what you think.

There may be a number of 'easy clean up' things on this project because it is so simple and straightforward; just the opposite of CRUS!

I'll take a look at that project and see what it does. I'm definitely in favor of not reinventing the wheel on things.

Seems okay to me--as long it's made sure that the posts aren't deleted until the lresults files have been downloaded from them. At other projects, such as PSP and RPS, lresults are usually emailed to the admin, whereas here and at CRUS, they're posted as attachments. I prefer the latter because it's more open--but, since that's the way it's done here, you have to be especially careful with deleting reservation/results posts, because otherwise you might accidentally lose some residuals along the way.

Hum...I never asked for results here. I've debated about it. What do you think?

At CRUS, I gave people a choice. I get a lot by Email but some in the forums. It's about 60-40 in favor of Email I think.

I think you should collect results wherever possible--then, when we do doublechecks in the future, we don't have to worry as meticulously about whether the doublecheck machines are producing good results. Simply compare the residuals from first and second pass, and check the ones that don't match a third time. I don't think people will mind having to send residuals--I've never seen it complained about at any other standard prime search project ("standard" meaning that we search the entire range, as opposed to a conjecture search).

As for CRUS, I had no idea that people sent in that many by email--I had thought it was all posted as attachments. I must have just not noticed that some "reporting completed" posts didn't have attachments.
