Reserving 521.2-521.8 to keep my computer busy while on vacation.

Last fiddled with by mdettweiler on 2008-06-26 at 15:22 Reason: oops, I forgot at first that we had returned part of LLRnet L6's range.

Oh, okay! No problem--I'll just shrink my reservation to 521.3K-521.8K. (That should still be enough to keep my computer busy for a week. :smile)

Anon,

I'm needing the n=458K-463K results for this drive. It's the only thing keeping me from completing the n=440K-460K range at Primesearch.

If you can make that a top priority when you get back, that would be very helpful.

Thanks,
Gary

Okay, will do. Actually, it turns out that I won't be leaving until sometime tomorrow in the early afternoon, so I might even be able to process it tomorrow morning.

Oh, didn't expect to hear from you again. Hold off on the results until after you get back unless you see another post here before I go to bed. Then if you have time, feel free to process it before you go but don't knock yourself out doing so.

As it turns out, there are a # of candidates remaining in port 400 around n=462.3K-.6K that were obviously returned to the server by someone who left them in their queue during the rally. I was being fed n>500K on Weds. by that server so I switched to port 8500 on Thurs. but I've now switched back to port 400 to clear them out since the stragglers must have been returned in between than and now.

I have 5 high-speed cores processing the stragglers now. If I start getting fed n>500K candidates tonight before bed, then those stragglers should be cleared out and you can process the results. I'll let you know.

I have completed the verification of results files for n=420K-440K for this drive. They have been compared to post 1 of this drive, the top-5000 site, Karsten's drive 1 page, and Karsten's k=300-2000 page.

Post 1 of this thread, top 5000, and the drive page all look good with no missing or incorrect primes. Karsten, there are 3 primes that need to be added to the k=300-2000 page as follows:

453*2^421743-1
751*2^423355-1
871*2^435891-1

Shortly I will be reporting ranges and primes to the Primesearch site.

As soon as some stragglers from the n=458K-463K range are tested from port 400 (should be within a day) and the results are forwarded to me, n=440K-460K will also be processed.

Rockin'!
