So get out your high speed cameras, etc. and let's see just how fast they travel.
Nope, it's conveying information to someone called Time that flies are very partial to an arrow.

Interesting - I've not observed this phenomenon. Is it biased toward arrows tipped with rotting fruit or dog poo?

It's the "low-flying" fruit you have to watch out for.

Mr. Like, a member of the Order of Arrows, has an aircraft. The pilot of that craft is Mr. Time.

They were involved in an accident. The German doctors attempted to close the pilot's wound with suture. What was the outcome?

"Ein Stich in Time saves ... Nein, zat is not it." Someone else will have to figure out the rest, I fear.

Here's a similar Witziges Wortspiel:

Beatrice the beekeeper has two pet bees whimsically named Beauty and Buzz, which she tells apart by way of having painted a tiny dot on each bee's back - pink for Beauty, blue for Buzz. While gently holding them in her palm and showing them to two friends, Alice and Chuck, the pink-painted bee suddenly flies upward out of her hand and right into her face. What does Alice say to Chuck?

OK, got that.

I can only add ---

Annoyed, Chuck, noting that the other bee had flown away, responded ...
