170K-190K complete, one prime previously reported; lresults attached. Sorry for the delay on these results--the task of processing these from the private LLRnet server I ran them sort of got "buried" as a lower-priority task among all the public-server processing jobs I had to do at around the time this range finished.
![]() I won't be reserving a new range on this drive just yet, since I've got some other work that is keeping my quad occupied for the time being. Once that work is complete I'll probably shift my quad to an NPLB public server for a while; though I do plan on getting back to this drive at some point in the near future. Unless, of course, someone else finishes it up before I even get to it--come on, don't be afraid.

Reserving 190K-200K for Gary. (In case anyone's wondering why I'm the one posting this, then, that's because he's going to run it through a private PRPnet server which I'm administrating.

190K-200K has been completed by Gary, no primes. Results emailed to Gary. (Hmm, interesting idea, that...sending results back to the same person who originally did them. After they took a detour at the processing plant, that is.
)Since the completion of this range finishes up the current sieve file for this drive, it's sort of going to be on "standby" mode until we do more sieving. Since interest in either of the base 16 drives has been low of late, and there's still plenty of work available on the Sierpinski side for a similar range, I'm guessing that Gary probably won't want to start n>200K sieving for the Riesel side right away. Thus, I'm going to unsticky this thread for now to conserve valuable sticky space. Last fiddled with by mdettweiler on 2009-09-22 at 14:00 |

Works for me. Thanks Max.
Oh, and thanks for Emailing the results back to myself. lmao For everyone's reference, Max ran the conversion from PRPnet format to standard LLR format on the results. We had run the n=190K-200K range on a private PRPnet server. Last fiddled with by gd_barnes on 2009-09-22 at 17:58 |

I have begun sieving n=200K-500K for Riesel base 16. I'll take it up to P=1T and then start a team effort for it. 18 k's are in the sieve. The rest have either been done well past n=500K by the former Riesel Sieve project or are worked on by base 4 or base 2 even-n, which convert to base 16.
If anyone is interested in assisting with sieving at this point, let me know and we can coordinate. Gary |

How long will 1T take on one C2Q core @ 2.2GHz?

I'm already done up to P=1T on the Riesel side of base 16. I then realized that the Sierp side should be sieved right along with it so am now sieving it up to P=1T. (should have started that immediately) I started on Sierp very early this morning (GMT) and am at P=~150G. It should be done in ~3 days.
It's taking about 3-4 days to do each side separately. At P=1T, we'll combine Riesel and Sierp. For Riesel, we're sieving 18 k's. For Sierp, its 23 k's (if I remember correctly). There will be some efficiency gain in doing the two together so I'm going to guess 5-6 days to do a P=1T range on one core although it could come in at < 5 days. I'll have to let you know. I'll take a 2T range (you choose) as soon as the file is available.
