A very nice run indeed
![]() I should have been more clear on the searchlimits. I never really got befriended with MySQL so I haven't been successfull when it comes to making PRPnet work. This means that the testlimits is as follows: Trailing edge: n=356,012 Leading edge: n=361,655 This means 3 cores is running below n=360K and 1 core is running above n=360K. I expect this gap to grow bigger, since 1 core has had 1 prime and 1 core has had 2 primes, while 2 cores has had no primes at all ![]() On a final note, this is my 4th Top5000 prime in April, so I've actually had a very prime month ![]() Take care Kenneth |

If you can't get mysql to work you could either use the pre-sql prpnet or llrnet.

PostGreSQL is also an option and I suspect it would be easy to get it to run on most other databases. If he really wants to run on PRPNet, he can reach out to me. |

S16 is now complete to n=360K. On a sidenote, I'm getting closer and closer to getting PRPnet to work, so maybe we will eventually see an even leading edge

That statement means that I would have to make code changes to run on other databases, but I doubt it would too much work. I have a lot of experience with Oracle and some with SQL Server. As PRPNet doesn't typically require a large footprint, I would consider those databases to be overkill.

I finally made it. It's now official, I'm running the 18 candidates remaining for S16 on my own dedicated PRPnet server. Thank you Rogue, for your great explanations and large patience
![]() Because I run PRPnet, I can give you the following numbers: Trailing edge is: n=363,902 Tests remaining: 31,798 Take care ![]() Kenneth

S16 is tested to n=370K. Nothing new found, Continuing happily!
I'm going to participate in the ESP challenge, due in about 26 hours from now, at Primegrid, so don't expect such a rapid ascend toward n=380K
