Yep, I forwarded 3389, and it works!
Took me awhile to remember how to forward ports! (I'm going to post the settings here so I can refer back to them!) [pre]access-list 101 permit tcp any any eq 3389 access-group 101 in interface outside static (inside, outside) tcp interface 3389 192.168.1.2 3389 netmask 255.255.255.255 0 0[/pre] I just had a friend of mine in Liverpool test it and he says it works pretty well... |

I hope this operating system change won't impede development. Graphical remote access is slow when the target system is on a cable modem. Then again, it doesn't look like much was happening before either.

As for development, maybe we'll have some luck with the Windows tools that George and others are more used to using? If not, we can switch back to Linux with no problem... |

I one time loaded up Earth and Beyond over VNC from my school. My computer at home is on a cable modem. It was really slow, so I just quit the game after loading :)

So why was the Opteron system bought is there will be NO 64 bit Prime95 released, or even coded? And why hasn't their been ANY patched code to fix the SSE2 throughput issue in 32bit mode? --------------------------------------------------------------------------- My protest continues as I have darkened 12 prime95 machines. It may be small, but I protest anyway. As long as Athlon and AMD64 processors continue to be shunned the machines stay dark. SALEM |

No, I think the optimizations will be developed, it's just very time-consuming and there are bottleneck issues that have been a stumbling block for some time (there have been posts in a number of threads on this issue).

Well, the archies were on the Opteron before; they may still be now but are unaccessible because the web server was running on Linux and now the Opteron is doing a trial run of 64-bit Windoze. I posted in the Archived Data Files thread in the Data forum about this yesterday...

Actually, the Opteron is at George's house now... I sent it to him a few days ago because I'm overwhelmed with "work" here and something had to give... I think he's going to try his Windows tools on it for a while and then we'll go back to the Linux setup...
I'm sorry for not posting about this before...
