Given what we recently learned about the esteemed Mr. Hamilton, I am beginning to feel a bit more sympathetic to Aaron Burr. Interestingly, as the wikipage on Hamilton details, he was not only the first U.S. Treasury secretary, but also began the long tradition of government bailouts, and the whole "profits are private, losses are socialized" kind of government-orchestrated looting of the taxpayer we see reaching fever pitch in Washington these days:
