My results.txt file shows that I've done nine LL tests on this computer, but my account report shows that I've only done eight.
Does anyone know what may be causing this? |

Account reports have exponents removed on the 15th of each month when a server synch takes place. All exponents cleared in the previous month are removed then.

This is strange; I found a factor in an exponent (the second with a factor on this computer) after I finished my last Lucas-Lehmer test, and both factors are accounted for. :\

LOL.
![]() Oh, and another thing: the GIMPS website said that I would "lose credit" for an exponent if it turns out to have an incorrect result, or if someone finds a factor of it. However, I checked the factors.cmp and bad.txt files, and none of the exponents I've tested have known factors or bad residues. Last fiddled with by ixfd64 on 2007-10-02 at 10:48 |

Have you checked íf all your results are in hrf3 och lucas_v? If not (and if not bad or factored) the result was probably lost and you should email the results.txt to George. (Or use the manual pages--are they working these days?)

I just checked hrf3.txt and lucas_v.txt, and none of the exponents that I've tested appear in those files. I'm not too concerned about losing PrimeNet credit, but I don't want several weeks' worth of number crunching effort to be wasted. Anyways, I've e-mailed George about this.
Thanks for your help, guys. Last fiddled with by ixfd64 on 2007-10-04 at 23:18 |

PrimeNet still says that I've tested only eight exponents; I'm guessing that the change will be reflected after the next server synchronization.
