How can I close my own threads?

Some of my threads are questions. Once I get the answer I need and consider the issue closed is there any way I can mark my own thread as closed to others don't have to bother checking into it. Similarly it would be nice if I could tell by looking at a thread if the owner has considered it closed so I don't need to check and see if more information is still required.

Closed doesn't have to imply locked in case someone else still wants to add their comments or go off on a tangent; I'd just like the general audience to know I am content with the answers.

I don't see an option to mark a thread "closed" as you describe. The "Close Thread" option that is there for moderators prevents further posting to the thread.
