Ok, I'm not to proud to beg for a hint from Ernst... :D
(If it is a number with special meaning in mathematics, I'll never get it anyway.) I'm just out of (semi-) clever ideas... 5,171,655,946 is not: The number of people on the planet (6,308,703,241); The age of the Earth in years (too high); The age of the universe in years (too low); Number of burgers served by McDonalds (100+ billion plus); A telephone number I (or Google) recognize. |

153 is the smallest number which can be expressed as the sum of the cube of its digits:
1^3 + 5^3 +3^3 http://www.shyamsundergupta.com/c153.htm ----------- 1,712,304 (I have a particular specialty for this number in mind -- I'll be mighty impressed if someone gets it, however -- good luck!) If you want an easier one along the same lines: 169 |

IIRC, 1729 is the taxi number from the Ramanujan & Hardy story...
Note how I don't have the answer to the previous post so I just repeat it! :) 10,412,737 |
