Default URGENT: prime95 25.2 on Linux with elf64 :help:

Hello,

I have access during few days to a 8 x Intel Xeon 3.0 GHz (2MB cache) machine.
I'ld like to measure the performance of prime95 25.2 (multi-threaded) on this machine.

However, this machine is installed with Linux Debian "testing" 64bits, and installing a 32bits distrib may be possible but not very easy (it is not MY machine). Same for creating a chroot 32bits or recompiling the kernel with some 32bits compatibility flag.

George gave me a Linux version:
"ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.2.5, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), not stripped"
but I get the following message on the machine:
error while loading shared libraries: libcurl.so.3: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

George does not seem to be around (he did not answered to a request for new exponents for manual testing).

So, does someone can provide me with:
- a statically linked version of prime95 v25.2 , or
- a ELF64 version, or
- the source code of prime95 v25.2 so that I recompile with different options (if it is possible to switch ELF from 32 to 64, not sure ...), or
- an idea to easily have prime95 running on this machine
?

Thanks,
Tony

OK. Since there is another disk and since they need to test with another Linux distrib, I've been able to install a 32bit distrib ! That works.
Cruelty, I'll try your solution later. I want to know if that works.
Thanks,
Now, I need to remind/find how to set the number of threads in mprime ...

Default mprime253-linux64.tar.gz ELF 64bits !!

I've just found that there is a new version mprime253-linux64.tar.gz :
ELF 64-bit LSB executable, AMD x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.6.0, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), not stripped

64bits ELF !!

So, as soon as I can reboot, I'll test this one.

Also, look at this post and next ones about the performance result.
