I looked over on eBay, and indeed, the HP15C's are pretty pricey in good condition.

I love the one (hint - it's one of the *less* pricey offerings on the current snapshot of the above search page) that describes the item thusly:

The power button is loose, so it doesn't turn on. Overall in fair condition.

We picked up a 33S tonight on clearance. It is RPN, but the user interface is an abomination. Still, $25 isn't too bad.

A scientific RPN and algebraic calculator introduced in 2003. This successor to the HP-32SII was implemented by HP's OEM (Kinpo) and features a highly controversial "chevron" keypad and a two-line display. Memory was expanded to 32K.
Someday, when we grow up, we'll get a mint 15C.

We wish we could sit down with HP's calculator division chief and chat. They still have the Voyager tooling for the 12C. In fact, they are pushing an anniversary edition 12C right now. They could make a 15C easily, even if they had to emulate it with a modern chip instead of using the original electronics.

We'd pay $100-$150 for one. We'd probably buy an extra too, just in case.

How in the world did we miss this development?

Obviously, we ordered one right away!

Few weeks ago I got this toy from this guy (I do not intend to advertize him, I don't know the guy and have no relation with him, do your own due diligence before spending any money on web! He sent me exactly what I was expecting to get, and did it very fast). The toy was mandatory for my daughter's math classes (!? as in "required by the teacher, if you don't have it, you suck at math!") and ordering it on ebay it was the only way to get it in Thailand. TI can't directly sell to here, they even don't have the country in the list, and for the local distributor they gave a mail address of a lady in a private apartment building in Bangkok, who has no idea what's going on and never heard that TI produces graphic calculators.

Interesting is the fact that our company buys components (semiconductors and passive, different other parts) from TI for millions of dollars, there are TI distributors in our offices weekly, local distributors, but also from HK, Taiwan, Singapore, trying to sell us other crap we don't need, beside the thinks we buy (like in "oh, you bought this transistor, don't you need that blue fish or one piece of buttered popcorn that works well with it?", well I tried to use unrelated things to illustrate vendors' policy), or trying to solve different technical issues related to the things we already bought, whatever, but when I asked them about the calculator they all shook heads and told me the "education" division and "semiconductors" division are two very separated things inside of TI... Lots of crap!

The toy itself worth all the money! I never imagined that a pocket calculator can be so cute and so clever!

I am pained by these reminders that I gave away my HP-25 calculator over twenty years ago.
