Second processor of my dual-core.
Hope it'll work. ![]() [EDIT]Program decides to go to 2^68. I'll let it do, so please change the thread title if possible, I can't. Last fiddled with by sonjohan on 2007-05-11 at 15:38 |

Note that the range you selected is already complete to 2^63.
To factor up to a given bit limit, place the following line in the prime.ini file: FactorOverride=XX Where XX = the bit level that you want to factor to. Factoring a range up to 2^68 will take a long time. You should either do this range to 2^64 or pick a new range. See the sticky thread "All available ranges" above for more information. Let us know what you decide. |

![]() First one is already finished to 2^68. No factor.Btw: the program correctly starts from 2^63 onwards. I've checked and I see that it takes about a day to finish to 2^68. There are 4847 checks to do in 47 -> 47.2 .... too long There are 2364 checks to do in 47 -> 47.1 .... too long --> So I guess 47M-47.2M to 2^64? Afterwards, is it 47M-47.2M to 2^65 or another range first? |

No need to be sorry; it's all useful work ... and you learned some things.

I've been around for a long time. (Edit: Join Date: May 2003; but that's only the forum, I had 10 PC's running the program when I was at the university, and that was several months before.)
154 P90 years already, and I hope to keep on increasing. I just can't do first time tests on the Dual core, as the GCD stages take way too many resources(I know not for long, but I need to work on that PC), so I have it run doublechecks. The second processor does the factoring now, and my home PC does 10M digit research :D Last fiddled with by sonjohan on 2007-05-13 at 10:45 |

FactorOverride isn't taken into account atm.

FactorOverride is ignored if you use PrimeNet.

Perfect! It stopped in the middle of the factoring and went to the next exponent. Thanks.
PS: It considers that the 72% it already did for 2^68 didn't happen. Just no factor to 2^67. CPU time lost

To send in results, simply e-mail your results.txt file to George.
The frequency is up to you, but probably no more than every other week. That is how often the status files are updated. |
