Mstislav Rostropovich, World-RenownedCellist, Dies

My Dad took me to see him play with the Cleveland Orchestra in the late 70s, a few years after he (Rostropovich, not Dad) emigrated/defected from the USSR. A man of courage and conviction, and of course supreme talent. -E |
