Well Mike, I truly am into Pyramid power.
On second thoughts I would like to keep this pyramid avatar as if it doen't reflect my personality, it nevetheless portrays my beliefs.

Well fossilised it will be, and it will prove the missing link in evolution.

Since there are several Wallace and Gromit fans around here (which includes me!), I give you Gromit and his bottomless spare track box.

My question is how do you get a saying written between your name and your avatar on postings? Only a few seem to have this...

You can try to request them, but you may not get it and if you do, it'll be a completely different one.

Xyzzy writes those "signatures" -- when either something about your postings inspires him, or you ask him (note Alex's caveat!). I imagine that Xyzzy views this power as one of the perks of his administrative work, and you might get on his good side by correctly guessing a source of his literary allusions (e.g., Ogden Nash). Whether to allow users to write their own signatures, or not, may be an administratively-configurable feature (among many others) of the forum software.

Happy belated birthday!

(The gerbils were sneaking around your profile to see if they could play a trick on you and they noticed your birth date. We managed to convince them to not rename your account to "Cheese Whiz®", but it cost us a pile of pumpkin seeds.)

I suppose I must have done something virtuous, or at least persistent, to deserve an avatar; but why is it advertising Copenhagen beer? I've never even been to Copenhagen.
