Yeah but nothing beats watching it live. We were very very lucky in perennially rainy Ireland to have a had very clear night. I took several pics as well but nothing to beat the great movie that Flatlander made.

This one is tonight folks. (Totality starts 10 pm EST)
Sounds like one for our friends in the New World. Here's hoping some of you get as good a view as we did in UK/Europe last year. Look forward to reports:) David (And belated thanks to Mally for bringing it to our attention in the first place) Last fiddled with by davieddy on 2008-02-20 at 10:13 |

Nothing to see here in S.E. England.
![]() Also, my old Canon camera that I used to do the time-lapse last year is kaput. I just tried taking it to bits and got a shock from an internal battery. I threw the camera in the air with the surprise. It still doesn't work and I have 9 little screws left over.

Nothing to see in eastern Austria. Sky was clear until 1:00 MEZ (= 0:00 UTC), but then it became cloudy.

I had a stunning view of a lunar eclipse of a full moon here in the Kansas City area (midwest U.S.) tonight. It started around 8 PM local time (2 AM GMT), was its darkest at 9:30 PM (3:30 AM GMT) and ended around 11 PM (5 AM GMT).
Unfortunately it was extremely cold here (+12F/-11C ) but the view outside an east window in my house was splendid. It was clear early on but clouded up some for the latter part of the 'show'. There is supposed to be another here in Dec. 2010. Gary |

Clouds moved in around here at 1:30 UTC but allowed an occasional glance at the moon. Fog started around 2:15. Lots of refracted light, missed the main part of the show. It didn't clear up until 5:00 or so.
