Nice pictures.THX
One explanation for the lack of features is that we are
viewing from the same direction as the illumination.
Spectacular colour for totality though.

What is the maximum time totality can last?

It crashed :(

Glad I saw it live. Full moon dazzling with (rare) clear sky
in Milton Keynes. Due to altitude of eclipse I was afforded a
view devoid of street lamps etc.
Thanks to all contributors for making it a communal experience.

It's amazing how much more media exists now. There was virtually no coverage of the 2003 Lunar Eclipse. Now youtube has enabled us to see the eclipse hundreds of times under local conditions.
