I thought that everyone used IE.

I've also found Chrome to be something of a memory hog, but then, I'd also heard about Firefox's leaks.

There's no doubt I could use Internet Exploiter. However, the hassle of running it in a vmware virtual machine is ever so slightly prohibitive.

I rather like lynx but text-only browsers are a little too primitive for my present tastes for general usage. Back in the day when visiting dubious web sites was part of my job description I used it a great deal. In those days, the mid- to late-90s, lynx was too brain-damaged to be able to have nasty side-effects.

Killed it mercilessly. Now, need to search for a less hoggy hog, again.
Not sure exactly what you're looking for, but would Dillo be of any use. I haven't really ever used it myself (other than seeing if it ran), but it is billed as:
Code:
"Dillo is a multi-platform graphical web browser known for its speed and small footprint."
and, is even in my Fedora repository set.

Re: Wrecked Goldwing:

Apparently the plastic damage ended up costing more than $12,000 so we totaled the bike out and ended up with a pretty blue one. (The green one was too, um, green.)

Despite it's imposing power figures, it is incredibly docile. Of course, we have it set on the maximum traction control setting, which is very conservative. We can dump the clutch in a gravel road and the fuel and ignition are cut to various cylinders and nothing happens, except the bike stays pointed in the right direction and there is no drama. In the mode we are in wheelies are literally impossible.

The transmission is so slick that it can be shifted without the clutch. (Once you are moving from a stop, of course.)

Even though it is hindered by tons of electronic safety doo-dads and despite the lack of edge-of-the-limit nervousness and attitude, we can say with absolute certainty that we have never experienced, at a visceral level, acceleration such as what this bike can dish out. We lack the vocabulary to describe it.

Chicks dig the blue, too.
