First, let's clarify what you want to do. Most of the people on this list (myself included) have taken ranges and are trial-factoring exponents in those ranges in order to eliminate potential primes. This is done so that when PrimeNet opens up these ranges, there will be less need for trial-factoring (fewer exponents, and the ones that are left have already been trial-factored to a large number of bits). I don't know of anyone who is actually performing LL tests on these exponents.
However, if you want to do LL tests on exponents in this range, someone would likely be willing to give you something to test. However, a friendly warning: this will take a while. The benchmark page on mersenne.org told me that my 900MHz Athlon would take about a year and a half to test in the 56M range. But if you want to test in this range, I'm sure someone would give you an exponent to test. Mine aren't trial-factored very high, so someone else would be a better source. Happy hunting ThomRuley |
