Default You just might be addicted to GIMPS if...

...you postpone the readying of your luggage to check whether there are any last-minute reservations to add...

My dad worked for Humble Oil (later Exxon) in the exploration department. At first he was a field seismograph operator in multiple locations. When the company switched to contract exploration crews he was moved to the Houston office where he was one of the operators of the "Playback Machine." This was a very large collection of tube powered devices, all analog, which read strips of magnetic tape from the field and then burned the geophone traces to broad rolls of special paper.

At some times he was on an evening or night shift, therefore missing dinner at home. He then would heat things like canned beans on one of the tube power supplies.

I used it to thaw frozen meals when I was in college. It wasn't very effective.

that's more or less me at the moment, but I picked up some sesame chicken from the local rice-house on my way in. I'm only running 2 of the 4 cores so I call that a simmer. If I add two more LL's about 10 minutes before lunch it will be heated through.

...you open/close your windows in the winter to keep your room cool enough (but not too cold) so your GPUs don't overheat.
