That seems to as good of a goal too me. I have 2 boxes I am adding to my network that I would like to try here. As i am recovering from a stroke which means I may ask some stupid questions as I am relearning things. Question #1 I am not able to get sr1sieve to load on a windows xp box could someone point me to some info or should I be trying another program? Thanks in advance. |

Actually the program window just flashes and crashes so I dont even have a chance to enter a command line....proth sieve opens and runs fine. Its most likely an error on my part. Since its a Intel box I won't worrie at the moment. I am putting a amd box on then i will try the sieve again. As for LLR no problem I have it working on PSP now. Thanks for the input will get back in touch when the AMD box is up and running.
Thanks .... Rick_E |

Rick_E:
You have to open the command prompt window separately, then type the commands for srsieve. Select "Run..." from windows menu, type cmd in the box to run. That gets you a command prompt... then use cd to change directory to the folder with sr1sieve, then type the full name of the sr1sieve program, with -h after a space; on mine: sr1sieve-intel -h the -h is help, which will list all the commands available. when setting the -p starting limit and -P ending limit, you can use scientific notation; a typical command would look like: sr1sieve-intel -i sievename.txt -o sievename.txt -f myfactors.txt -p 120e12 -P 130e12 This would sieve the file called sievename from 120T to 130T, creating a factors file that you would post here and/or send along to citrix. Hope this helps. -Curtis |

A factor for 43046721 1049984 has already been found. Perhaps you are using an old file.
Here is the new file. So everything below 1,050,000 is reserved or done. Last fiddled with by Citrix on 2007-05-21 at 18:21 |
