Is there any way to request 'no new work' from the server apart from
quitting Gimps? |

Putting the line NoMoreWork=1 in Prime.ini didn't work for me!
The server has just given me another exponent to do, which I didn't really want. Hey, never mind, I suppose I should stop moaning and just do the extra work. |

Did you save your Prime.ini and restart Prime95 so it would reload the .ini?

I restart Prime 95 every time I turn on the computer.
Maybe the line should have been NoNewWork=1 or something else? |

NoMoreWork=1 in prime.ini should have worked (if you restarted Prime95 before it tried to reserve a new exponent). Selecting Advanced/Quit GIMPS and answering that you want to complete the work has the same effect.
