Reminds me of the "ASSMAN" episode of Seinfeld...

One that I've seen around my town that somehow got through: "STUGOT"

Also, someone has: "NMYLMNT" on their Honda Element. Clever...

We have seen the car in NC with "Xyzzy" but the guy has them for life we guess. The same goes for the xyzzy.com domain.

We have considered converting our "weighted" plates, which cost a fortune, to "weighted vanity" plates, which cost even more, but it isn't worth the cost.

Well, you could always get plates with "Yzzyx" on them.

BTW, what the heck is a "weighted" plate? (Please pardon my ignorance.)

Start with Section 2, Chapter 3, Page 2, "WEIGHT G.S. 20-88".

Pretty complicated, eh? We're not even sure we have it right!

Oh, duh. I should have figured it had something to do with the vehicle's actual weight!

So, based on the fact that you pointed me to a section on weight for trucks, I take it you have either a large SUV or truck?

We wish we had a scooter sometimes with the cost of gas and all.

We wanted a F-350 King Ranch but that cost too much so we settled for a stripped F-150 with a few mods. It gets okay mileage but nothing near what our old Tercel got.

OT: Xyzzy, you can get 93 octane gas??? I'm stuck on 91 (@3.72) out here. I noticed on my trip through the Midwest that my car likes the higher grades (automatic ignition timing adjustments, etc.) or at least the different non-California formulation.

For the record: local gas prices yesterday at noon. 91 @ 1.369, 95 ditto (as usual), 100 @ 1.529. Prices are in Euro per litre, so at the moment the prices in Dollars per gallon would be like 5.920... times as high.

What were you complaining about, again?

I do drive a scooter (a chinese made Baotian BT50QT-9 2007) here Trondheim, Norway and the price of gas is more or less negligible, even with typical european prices (approx. 12.50 NOK or 2.40 USD per litre at the moment for 95 octane). I usually pay for a fillup with the change I find in my pockets.

I have access to a car aswell, but I usually use the scooter since I rarely need to bring anything with me that doesn't fit in the helmetcompartment or in my backpack. And it's much more fun to drive ofcourse. After a long winter on studded tires, this week I'm planning to change to summer tires, as is the custom here once easter is over.
