This isn't a license plate, but it could be a bumper sticker:

On a German licence-plate drivig in the Netherlands:
DU-IF 172 (Which is 'pigeon' in dutch) Also, an awful lot of cars with KLE-VE or KLE-EF for starting letters (KLE stands for Kleve, in Dutch: Kleve = Kleef |

I am afraid they do : NL=NL, BE=B, FR=F so letters are shared :-) The site I cited is about licence plate country codes. The site you quote does speak about the county (not country) code starting German licence plates.
But in this case the remembered color of the license plate (red letters on white) and the spotting country indicates a Belgian license plate. Jacob |

Of course Deutsche Gemeinschaft exists, but I've never heard it that people would use DG for their car license plates. Edit: If it's recent that you saw such a car, it's plausible, with the political rubbsh we're going through atm. Last fiddled with by sonjohan on 2007-12-05 at 12:42 |

With the US presidential race in full swing, the following bit of electoral-humor-seen-on-a-bumper-sticker seems apropos:
