Since I've been working with geomagnetic observatories for 14 years now, I thought I would get a license plate like this one. I'm standing next to the car, dressed in my non-magnetic clothes, at the geomagnetic observatory outside Uppsala.

Patrik, put the word "BABE" in front of that "MAGNET" and you will have it made.

Best I've seen on a license plate was 1WILD1 on a Virginia Mustang. Second best was IBB4U on a Volkswagen Beetle.

Best bumper sticker was "Give up sex. I'll help you taper off!"

I was riding behind a new-style VW Beetle with the plate Y8BUG on my way into work last Friday.

Of course, being on my bike, I didn't stop behind it for very long. Motorbikes are definitely the way to travel in rush hour traffic.
