overclock ! nice

i wanna know if there's some benchmark done with Opteron, amd64, xeon family and itanium family.

at this time, chugbug has the faster machine (i think)

(2) Crucial 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200
Athlon 64 3200 1mb L2 cache processor
ATI Radeon 9800Pro 128M video card

Except the Celerons are the CPUs that failed the cache test... All (newer) Celerons start out as P4s but when there is a bad cell in the cache it is remarked as a Celeron...

You can see the hit I took with that box for the onboard video... It is doing about 50ms when it should be around 40ms for a 640K FFT...

There are those of us that have been around a while that tend to call "Intel Extreme" graphics by it's real name - "Insanely Extremely Slow" graphics.

I'd swear some of my older Celeron PPGA series machines (333-533 Mhz) with S3-964 (Diamond Stealth VRAM) cards had faster video than Intel Extreme in the Dell Pemtium-III 1Ghz I was assigned at one place I worked.

What happens when you phase-change cool an AthlonXP Mobile chip to 2.9GHz? Look here: http://www.fastlanehw.com/reviews.ph...vid=102&page=9

No other version/timing info. provided
