thats a good idea

mabey i could also go threw your prime.log and count how many errors youve had

with some sort of filter to show something like how many errors have you had since yesterday or how many this week

stuff like that

i belive all the results.txt is also in the prime.log

Older prime95 versions sent each error message, but newer ones do not. Thus, results.txt is the only place to look for error messages.

I know where the problem with parsing results.txt is and am currently coding a solution. So far it finds the results of P-1 factoring and LL/DC. Just need to re-add the code for Trial Factoring and it'll be more or less ready to go :)

For error reporting I could add another column in the main table stating if any errors have been found in the last day or so although if this was done every refresh it may add a bit of an overhead with large files. I'm not sure what it would be like, but can be added if requested.

The more results.txt files the better as I can then test that its working correctly before I release. Please send them to: dcmonitor@bluetentacle.co.uk

Cheers

After some feedback at the here and at the F@H3 forum, I've fixed some things and changed others:

0.62
- GIMPS results.txt and worktodo.ini processing rewritten.
- F@H3 running status should no longer show the incorrect status (however it will take longer for the client to be shown as stopped).
- Can now only choose a visible tab as the startup tab.

You can download it in the usual place:

http://www.bluetentacle.co.uk/dcmonitor/

Thank you to everyone who e-mailed me a results.txt file they were very usful for my testing.

I'll be looking at the error reporting for the next version.

Cheers

Default Nice Job PK!

This release solved all problems I've noticed with the previous one.
Well done PK!

I seem to have a formatting problem with the font size. Is there anyone else who has the same problem.

It looks like all of your fonts are too big... Do you have them scaled to 125% or something?

I downloaded the latest DCMonitor but am having problems. When I try to run it indicates it is going to update the projects.csv file, and then proceeds to take the entire processor and the projects.csv file grows without bounds. I killed it after the file went over 400 megs. Have I missed something? I tried the previous version before this and did not have difficulties aside from the results formating.

Rather than toooo big, that's how I like them :(

I guess that I'll have to pass on DC Monitor for the moment, although it looks to be a great bit of software :)

I'm glad thats solved the problems :)

I've had some feedback from NickGlover via e-mail about some of the semantics in the results formatting that I'll look to fix in the next release.

There could be a way to fix this by allowing for an option of a larger row height for people using larger sized fonts. LMK if you're interested (or anyone else).

Cheers
