I'm running XP Home on the PD 805.

How do I tell the OS to deactivatethe graphcs adapter during inactivity?

Control Panel => Power Options => Power Schemes => Turn off monitor

(also reachable via Control Panel => Display => Screen Saver [where you can set Screen saver to (None)] => Power => Power Schemes => Turn off monitor )
