Thanks again,but i have downloaded programs like this before,i just cant understand how to actualy get the program running.can anyone explain,how to get it running?the problem is with newpgen theres just an exe.

The confusing thing about sr1sieve is that it doesn't create an initial sieve file so you have to create it in another program. A companion program called srsieve will create one, but since you already know newpgen you can use that. To be safe you need to sieve to at least p=1e9 in newpgen.
Then, if say your sieve file is called k17.txt, you can sieve to p=1T with the following command sr1sieve -P 1e12 -i k17.txt -o k17.txt which will remove factors from k17.txt like newpgen does. sr1sieve -h will list the other parameters than can be used including ones to set the priority and the processor affinity. |
