Mike,
Could we split the "Other Projects" sub forum into two? Prime Search Projects: Code:
Lone Mersenne Hunters 15k Search Riesel Prime Search Prime Sierpinski Project 3*2^n-1 Search Sierpinski/Riesel Base 5 Octoproth Search PSearch Twin Prime Search Code:
Factoring Operation Billion Digits NFSNET Discussion LMH > 79.3M ElevenSmooth Cunningham Tables GMP-ECM |

I support this idea if it is implemented by replacing "Other Projects" with the two proposed groupings at the that same level. However, I would oppose it if the implementation were to make those sub-groups children of "Other Projects".

"Lone Mersenne Hunters" is a combination prime-search and factoring project.
Indeed, despite LMH's name, it's easy, when scanning recent postings there, to forget the prime-search aspect and mistakenly consider LMH to be only a candidate-elimination factoring project! Also, "LMH > 79.3M" and "Operation Billion Digits" potentially include prime-searching in addition to factoring. Last fiddled with by cheesehead on 2006-04-26 at 00:42 |

Is it possible to get rid of one line per forum? Right mow, it looks like this:
Split "Other Projects" sub-forum? by cheesehead ..........................................................................26 Apr 06 01:41 AM Could it become Split "Other Projects" sub-forum? by cheesehead..................................................26 Apr 06 01:41 AM Perhaps it would be necessary to choose a smaller pinboard icon as well... Like this, we could get more forums on the screen. BTW, it better than before. Good idea to take the changes from some months ago back... H. |
