It seems like they started with 94 columns. At least if eepiccolo's posting is correct.

About 25 years ago, I tried to memorise as many decimals as I could. I got to 202 decimals. I've forgotten most of them now, but it seems that I will never forget the first 105 decimals.

To celebrate, my university was selling pies. Their motto was:

"You can have your pi and e it too"

Unfortunately, by the time I found the time to buy one, they were all sold out...

Over here it is 14/3/05 or, for the pedantic 2005-03-14. The little-endian form is in common use, the big-endian is blessed by some international standard or other.

I do remember 27th January, '82, and I made a point of staying up to watch the clocks go past 01:23:45 6/7/89 almost sixteen years ago now.
