Hello everyone!
After my range for Riesel Sieve is done, I am thinking about switching to factoring for Mersenne factor testing. One small question, may I use FactorOverride in my prime.ini file? May set it to 66? Regards, C. |

Please don't, FactorOverride doesn't work well with the server.
Try Lone Mersenne Hunters if you'd like to factor to lower levels. |

Ok, I will not use FactorOverride in my prime.ini then.
I still want to contribute something to the Mersenne effort. Wich type of work is suitable for a P4 2.4Ghz // 512 Mb Ram, who is not always on 24/7? So that I can contribute something? Tx Congrats with the new Prime! |

You can do normal factoring from the server, doublechecks or first-time test. The expected time on your computer would be: 24hrs, 9 days, 30 days (approximately if computer was on 24/7).
Your choice. |
