Forgive my ignorance, but what is a "network proth_sieve"?

A program that does the same thing as proth_sieve but does not need constant attention and can get work and submit work thorugh the network.
Basically a program that sieves and does not have ADD. (Attention Deficiet Disorder)

Citrix, are you aware that there are people working currently on the optimization of the siever? Chuck et al at RieselSieve, and Greenbank is working on that kind of stuff, too.
It would just be a pity to duplicate work. I can give you links if you don't find them by yourself. If it's for training your math and programming skills, OK, but if you want to create something real, better coordinate with these (extremely skilled) people. |
