Need help, laptop problems

I have a laptop with which I am having problems. When I boot the laptop 9 out of 10 times it will not boot ie it will start but the initial screen where it says press F12 to enter setup does not come. That one time the computer boots normally and windows loads and the computer works fine.

Could some one tell me what is wrong with the computer.
How do I fix the problem.

THe adapter is fine. There is a problem with the DC-in point. The computer is still under 1yr limited warranty. What should I do. Is it possible to get a new DC in point. I couldn't find it on the catalog?

Help much needed.

I have a faulty DC connector since Wiggling or pushing the power cord helps. What are my options. It is a toshiba laptop.

Call manufacture and request for a box to be sent or ask about there repair policies
Most of the time all you have to do is pay for shipping there and they will pay for it back.
Another thing to check for is proper grounding try turning it on well its sitting on a table, I remember there being something about a speaker not being grounded causeing laptops to reboot.

That was it, the grounding in speakers was faulty. I have given it for repair. They will replace the speakers and the motherboard. There was a defect in this model.

Your welcome just dont thank me thank my subscription to pc world and ps there both great mags ;) its funny such a small speaker can cause so many problems ;) happy prime hunting.
