Not a huge loss as it was only a Cyrix running at 166mhz but damn!

I am gald it wasn't my new P4 3.06 :)

I wouldn't say it filled up exactly. There was still smoke coming out of the empty CD Rom slot when I came in but it looked like it had extinguished itself by then.

I had just set up my first P4 Vapochill box the previous day and I expected the worst when I saw the smoke coming out of the room. I ran to that box first but it was still running at -15 so I had to check the other 4 computers in the room. Thankfully it was the oldest/slowest. :)

Dang - that hits too close to home.

I woke up Saturday morning, walked into my computer room, and noticed that it was too quiet.

Turns out that my file server had died - motherboard apparently fried the North Bridge, and took the CPUs with it. 'till now, the Thunder K7 (s2462, dual 1800s) had been *the** most stable of my dual-CPU systems.

And I can NOT afford to replace it for a while.
