Hi I'm n00b and wondering which client is best to use for PRP'ing?
Which are there? Which are the fastest? Any processor-requirements and stuff like that. ![]() |

I tested this version on all the Riesel and Proth primes from Chris Caldwell
database, without any false negative nor error message of any kind, so I can say that it is both the faster and most reliable LLR version for now, both on SSE2 or non SSE2 32 bits PC's. Note it is a also a proof of the reliability and of the performances of George Woltman's gwnum library, Version 24.11, I am using in this program. I am beginning now to test gwnum V24.12 wich promises to be still better ! I will use it in the future LLR version. Best Regards, Jean |

I am testing prp2412.exe at the moment and it it is around 5% faster then llr36 on my P4 systems.

Does HT-enabled change anything on with the various clients?

I have a 2.4GHz P4 without HT and a 3.0GHz P4 with HT and for both the fastest Client is PRP24xx.exe (At the moment 2413).

The HT proc isn't faster per core but the overall output is higher when you run two different projects.
For example when i run PRP and the "eulernet" project together on the HT machine i have the performance of 1.4*3GHz none HT processors. Lars |
