Factoring exponents under 25M are now in PrimeNet. I don't think anybody is working the newly added ranges, but if you were thinking about it, be aware that George has now moved these to PrimeNet.

trif and whoever knows the answer, if I picked up 200 TF exponents from Primenet, can I override the TFing to only 60 bits??
And if I do, will Primenet cope or would it think these exponents complete?? |

If you override to only 60 bits Primenet would definitely not be happy and there is a good chance those exponents will be stuck!

There is a way to do it and not muck up Primenet, but it's more work. You have to fetch the exponents you want to do, turn off "use Primenet", set the undoc option, run the exponents, then turn Primenet back on, and the exponents will be dumped to Primenet. Have NoMoreWork=1 while you do this so it doesn't pick up more exponents yet.
PrimeNet will think the exponents are both done and not done and they will be stuck. You will need to recreate a worktodo with the new bit depth, leaving out those that had factors found, and then manually connect to pick those factors back up. Then you will need to release them (which means you can't do this step under TPR). Once that is done, delete the prime.spl file, because everytime you turn Primenet off and back on, Prime95 will report again all of those old results, which will end up getting those exponents you have just fixed stuck again. You're now ready to do another cycle. But it is a lot of work. |

Thanks, guys.
I knew there was a reason not to do this. |
