It's happening again.

Create times like this have been fairly consistent over the past couple days. It doesn't happen on each page load, but on enough of them to be an annoyance. Is it happening to anyone else?

At this point we are on the fastest server that we can get for what we pay... I haven't been able to figure out why it slows down like it does, but I pray it isn't too often...

I'm still looking for a dedicated MySQL host...

One thing you may have noticed is the average number of people logged in has gone up a bit in the last few months... It used to be that I would see 2-3 people logged in, but now most of the time it is 5-6 people... I log in maybe 10-20 times a day to check...

We have an option to use a PostgreSQL database but I am very unfamiliar with that... There are many other phpBB setups running with 100x what we have and they are fast, so my guess is our server is I/O bound...

I'll keep working on a solution!
