I tried Mike's suggestions, creating worktodo, local and prime.ini files under Windows and Prime95.
The procedure works smoothly even on Windows machines I am only doing one curve at this time, as my office computer is a slow PII with 128 MB of RAM. I'll add some more computing power when I finish my P-1 task for Mersenne-aries. Luigi |

Mark,
I did a fresh build on my amd64 today then ran 4 iterations of gmp-ecm with m1061. This system averages about 35 minutes for each pass. I'm getting 41 curves a day now with GMP-ECM... I am upgrading to a 3400+ in a few days so hopefully I can break 50 a day...

When I use ecm -c does it print out intermediate values or does it just report after it's completed my N requested curves?
I've been using a script with a for loop since I didn't know about -c which just called ./ecm over and over but if it's easier with -c then I'll switch to that once this batch of curves is done. |

We're running ecm on this number. Afaik P-1 has already been done to any useful level. Obviously you're free to keep going but we have 19,000 curves to amass and it'd be really helpful if you did some of those for us. |
