The easiest way would be to just back up your whole prime95 directory right before you re-format, then put the directory back to where it was before. You shouldn't need to change anything as long as you are not making any changes (upgrades) to your computer.

That type of backup works even if you *do*have to make major changes to the machine.

Prime95 does not use registry keys - except for

a) Install location. So I guess uninstall might not work after you are done.
b) Running as a service. Prime95 will recreate these entries as soon as you run prime95 after the reinstall.

If you really wanted uninstall to work, couldn't you just re-enter the uninstallation keys? You can find the location of the keys by looking at the INSTALL.LOG file.

If you really want to be sure do this:

1) Make a copy of the entire Prime95 directory.
2) Reformat.
3) Reinstall Prime95 - in the same location as before is preferable.
4) Copy all the files back overwriting the new install.

This will take care of the uninstall problem. And as George said if it were installed as a service running Prime95 again the first time would reinsall it as a service.

And, this is important, do not run Prime95 between steps 3 and 4.
