Hmmm... well, I'm due for another complete upgrade in a few months, so I might as well put that money towards new stuff. Thanks guys. See you in a few months ;)

Yeah it was retail with fan. I was amazed too.
It is Tbred-A core. I wasnt able to get it to 166MHz stable. I think my Gigabyte 7VRXP v1 doesnt have 5:1 divisor so PCI refuses to run too high. But over clock is real easy on the chip. Upper the vcore by 5%, it runs at 11.5x easy. (The thing specs at 1.5v). I didnt try very hard but I knew I have hit 1700MHz. AMD announced that by 12/11, all 1700 and 1800 were TB. Just a matter of burn out whatever already on the market. Yesterday Frys had an after-Christmas sale. XP2000+ with a ECS K6S5A for $99. But it didnt mention TB core so it must be Palomino. |
