I currently have the opportunity to test/benchmark an HP zx6000 (2-way Itanium2/Intel 7.0 compilers) and I was hoping to use mprime as a benchmark (which I've done on many of my other machines). However, I found when I tried the Linux code, it didn't quite work. So, I was wondering if anyone out there can help with tips to use it.
Also, I know about glucas which has IA64 binaries...but they seem to be for Itanium1/Intel Compiler 6.0 (I get a 'library not found' error...I have it, it's just newer). If there is any advice on getting glucas to work, I'll take that as well. Thank you, and sorry for the bother. Matt |

Hi,
I've been out these days, so my reply is a bit late. Sorry. Well, I haven't build a Glucas binary for IA64 using Intel 7.0 compiler for Itanium2. But you could do that easily. Download the source tar.gz tarball from http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/g...ar.gz?download Unpack it in a working directory. Then in the glucas-2.9.0 directory #) ./configure You can see wheter the intel ecc compiler has been detected. And then #) make If all runs OK the binary Glucas has been made. Finally you should make a small selftest: #) ./Glucas -s small In the file selftest.out there will be the results (and timings) of the test. Tell me any problem, I still have to adjust the configure script to new Intel compiler. Happy new (prime) year! Guillermo. |
