Puma finished M111992581, but instead of going on to M111443669, it dropped that from worktodo.txt and started M111977857, which was assigned as PRP. M111443669 is still in my list of assignments on mersenne.org, as Test. Is there a way to convert it to PRP on the server? Or how do I make sure that, after finishing the current assignment, puma starts M111443669 as PRP?

There is no way to convert the assignment on the server, but it will accept a PRP result from your computer.

If you stop and exit prime95, add the 111443669 exponent to the front of worktodo.txt, delete any old save files for 111443669, then restart prime95 does it start the PRP? If not, does it give any error messages?

I put 111443669 before 111977857 and restarted mprime. It resumed 111977857, but 111443669 is still before 111977857. Should I set it to two workers? (I have six cores; they're all working on the same number.)

That makes no sense to me. No error messages?

Make extra sure that mprime has been completely stopped and exited before editing the file. If it hasn't exited it could retain the work unit in memory and not read it in on restart.

111443669 is only at 1.2%, if nothing else works, delete the file 111443669 and all 111443669 .bu * files and 111443669.residues. The exponent then starts to calculate again by 0%, but otherwise I cannot help you. I am at a loss!

I inquired several times recently about running the huge backlog of LL-DC work as PRP. I never received a response. From what I see in the last few posts here, it is possible. Primenet would need to stop issuing them as "DoubleCheck" and a re-configuration of the worktodo lines to PRP format would be needed.

I moved all the *3669* files (which were all *.bad something) elsewhere and restarted mprime and told it to continue. It said this:

[Comm thread Sep 30 22:13] PrimeNet success code with additional info:
[Comm thread Sep 30 22:13] Server assigned CERT work.
[Comm thread Sep 30 22:13] Got assignment D74D24D9DD830ACEFB6CBE9409DDA929: CERT M100120919
[Comm thread Sep 30 22:13] Done communicating with server.

It did a CERT first, even though it's third in the file.
