We were spared by 97 tornadoes this past week. We did, however, lose a cousin in Oklahoma and had ~$100,000 in insurance claims due to hail damage. We would request prayers for friends and family that came derned close to having their employment ceased (Spirit Aerosystems about 50mi from here got hit)
P.S. Happy Meal thread b/c the immediate fam is alive, everything else is replaceable.

That's the "happy me" of April:

Today I ordered a worth of 1k euro of (liquid) cooling equipment from ekwb. Delivery in about a week (I hope!). The "heavy" part (which can't be bought somewhere else like "cheap deals", "discount sites", "ebay", etc, and weighted the most of the expenses - the rest was just some small stuff for which I won't get big difference in the price on the discount sites anyhow) is the EKFC580, times three, plus suitable fittings (90deg angled to cascade them in a row, otherwise there is not space in between, and I don't want a lot of tubing), and the "full mobo" plate (covering cpu, all the cipsests and cmos-es) for my mobo.

I may make a small presentation with the changing process, when I will replace the air cooling stuff.

That's what I was thinking. I probably won't be getting it though. I have too many other responsibilities that would take precedence.

Default I am no longer "between jobs"

I retired from my long-time (31.5) year government job a year ago; the last 13 years as an IT Manager.

My intention was to enjoy the summer and start looking for work October.
Well it took longer than anticipated but in the end I found exactly the work I had hoped for: a Database Administrator as a contractor.

I start Monday.
