Default Memories

Samoans have just lost a day of their lives due to an adjustment to the dateline.
Reminds me of Sweden switching to driving on the right.

Naw, they didn't lose a day, they just paid back the day that they lived twice the first time they fiddled with the date line in the 19th century.

Default I'm sure this ought to be a PM...

...but I'm not sure who to.

I find talking with my doctoress is like talking with my father (that is complimentary and then some).

Scary to think she was born 61 years later than he was.

Since the price of diesel fuel has not dropped much where we live, we have, for the last few months, parked the truck and ridden our motorcycle pretty much everywhere.

This works fine most of the time, but the loud pipes, lack of storage, laid-back seating position and lack of wind protection make rides longer than half an hour a bit annoying and uncomfortable. Plus, it is starting to get a bit cold here, so our hands and feet have complained a bit.

After thinking about how much we ride, and how much we enjoy riding, we decided to trade the chopper bike in for something different. On paper the new bike appears very imposing and scary due to its size, but in real life it is a pussycat, and supremely warm and comfortable as well.

We can even ride in the rain and somehow the rain flies up over us.

We do not have a proper photograph of it yet, so we will attach one of Honda's promotional pictures.

Anyways, our journey through the various types of motorcycles has been interesting to say the least. We do not regret the sport bike or the chopper because we learned so much from them.
