Didn't quite make it - #24 came in about three hours late. Final score: 22 LL tests, 2 P-1 factors, no primes.

Quote:
Going to try to be *really* ambitious this year:

28 LL candidates - 8 will be mainstream candidates that I'll pull via manual assignment on Thursday;
I got 8 first tests in the 46M range (*smaller* than last year's, which were 47Ms), all have been P-1'ed (unlike last year), one is a re-test of a suspect LL (also unlike last year).

Quote:
the other 20 comprise all of the candidates of the form 820902xx and 90282xxx (think dates...).
Had to change plans here after Carsten's heads-up on his claim on the 90M range. So I took out (all) three exponents of the form 820902xx and the first 17 of the form 9282xxxx. The 92Ms are looking like they take a while, even on two cores of a Quad (116 days is what PrimeNet thinks). Unless TF (from 64 bits) or P-1 is unusually successful, given the existing workload I have plus the other goals here, these might well be a project spanning *two* birthdays...

Quote:
28 double-checks - I will take the first 28 candidates of the form 2828xxxx to be double-checked.
I've got them - not too much to be said here. Two of them are underway, with an ETA of 39 days.

Quote:
282 P-1 assignments -
Went ahead and reserved the first 282 P-1s available above 60M. 24 of them are queued up for completion by Sept. 30th.

Quote:
28,282 TF assignments
4 down, 28,278 to go

And they're off.....

Last night I faced the Board of Review to dispute the assessment of the house I purchased last month. I expected my dispute be summarily rejected because I couldn't prove to them that they were faulty in their calculations. I did not expect them to accept the sale price of the home as the correct assessed value. They did and it will save me about $800 a year in property taxes.

I now have as many Ghz Days so far in 2010 as I had in total from 2004 to the end of 2009.

2009 (even earlier in the year) is the only other time I accomplished this.

And I don't expect I'll be able to repeat it in 2011....but who knows.

Over the past few weeks we have been going out with the dog late evening and weighing hedgehogs! Apparently if they enter hibernation below about 500g they won't survive. There are actually at least 10 different hogs (marked with correction fluid) that roam the football field near us.
Last night we found a baby hog that only weighs about 250g so we get to look after him until the spring.
